Ugadi Celebrations

President Dr. V.L. Indira Dutt, along with the Executive Committee of the World Telugu Federation (WTF), cordially invites you to the celebration of Sri Sarvadhaarinaama Ugadi and Srirama Navami Festivals on Friday, April 11, 2008, at 5:00 PM. This event will be held at the Smt. Sivagami Pethachi Auditorium, M.C.T. M. Chidambaram Chettyar Foundation, located at 179 Luz Church Road, Mylapore, Chennai-4. Dr. M.V.V.S. Murthy, Vice President of WTF, will preside over the event, with Dr. P. Ramamohana Rao, IAS, Chairman & Managing Director of the Tamilnadu Housing Board, as the Chief Guest. Sri J.M. Naidu, Secretary of WTF, will extend a warm welcome to the attendees, while Smt. S. Lakshmisumani will introduce the Chief Guest, and Sri V. Rengapashyama will honor him. The vote of thanks will be delivered by Smt. K. Srilakshmi Mohan Rao, Joint Secretary of WTF. The evening will also include a cultural program featuring the dance drama “Kakathiya Kalaa Vaibhavam” by Sri B. Sudheer Rao of Sivananda Nruthyamala, Warangal, along with Rama Navami songs performed by the Semas Swararaga Manjari Group.

Womens Day Celebrations

The Women’s Wing of the World Telugu Federation (WTF) extends a warm invitation to participate in the “Health is Wealth” initiative, scheduled to take place on International Women’s Day, Saturday, March 8, 2008. This significant event will occur from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ramakrishna Buildings, located at No. 2, P.V. Cherian Crescent Street, Egmore, Chennai – 8. The program will be presided over by Dr. V.L. Indira Dutt, the President of WTF. The inauguration of the health camp will be conducted by Smt. Dr. G. Lalitha, who serves as the Programme Executive at All India Radio. Additionally, Dr. S. Ramesh Babu, the Director and Chief Orthopaedic Surgeon at SPOT Hospital in Chennai, will deliver a presentation on osteoporosis and offer complimentary Bone Mineral Density (BMD) tests. Furthermore, Dr. J.S. Rajkumar, the Chairman and Chief Surgeon at LIFE LINE Multispeciality Hospital in Chennai, will address the subjects of stem cells and obesity, while also providing further health evaluations.
