22nd Anniversary Celebrations

The World Telugu Federation (WTF) cordially invites you to celebrate its 22nd Anniversary on Sunday, February 15, 2015, commencing at 5:30 PM at the Rani Seethai Hall, located at 603 Anna Salai, Chennai. The event will be honored by the presence of Chief Guest Sri K.I. Varaprasad Reddy, who serves as the Chairman and Managing Director of Shanta Biotechnics. Among the awards to be conferred during the ceremony are the Smt. Yarlagadda Sambhuprasad and Smt. Prabhavathi Memorial Award, which will be presented to the esteemed Kuchipudi dancer and film artist, Smt. D. Prabha Ramesh, as well as the Sri B.S.R. Krishna Memorial Award, awarded to Dr. K. Ramachandra Murthy, the Editorial Director of Sakshi Media Group. The program will commence with an invocation by Kum. Kyathi, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp, and will feature musical performances by Vandemataram Srinivas and his troupe, alongside a comedy segment featuring Jabardasth stars Sudigali Sudheer, Getup Srinu, and Jabardasth Ram Prasad. The evening will also include a musical interlude and will conclude with a dinner, graciously sponsored by Vummidi Bangaru.

Kuchipudi Natya Vaibhavam

The World Telugu Federation cordially invites you to attend the Kuchipudi Natya Kalavaibhavam, scheduled for April 10, 2015, at the V.P.R. Conference Center located on Golagamoodi Road in Nellore. This cultural event will commence at 9:30 AM and conclude at 1:30 PM, showcasing a variety of traditional Kuchipudi performances alongside insightful speeches. The program will initiate with “Purvarangam,” a customary opening ceremony, followed by an inaugural meeting that includes the lighting of the lamp by distinguished guests. Dr. V.L. Indira Dutt, the President of the Federation, will extend a warm welcome to attendees, after which Mrs. D. Manjulata, Chairperson of Language & Literature at the Federation, will provide an overview of the day’s events. The Chief Guest, Mr. Ganta Srinivasa Rao, who serves as the Education Secretary for the Government of Andhra Pradesh, will address the audience, with Smt. Y. Janaki, IAS, honored as the Guest of Honour. The program will be narrated by Shri P.V. Sai, while Sri Vemireddy Prabhakara Reddy will offer his respects. The performances will include “Kalapamulu” presented by Sri Pasumarthi Ketana Prasad, “Bhamakalapam” by Shri C.H. Vijay Kumar and his ensemble, and a dance drama by Dr. Vedantham Ramalingasastri. The afternoon session, running from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM, will feature “Andhra Natyam” performed by Shri Kalakrishna from Hyderabad.

Sankranthi, Womens Wing

The World Telugu Federation is organizing oratorical contests to commemorate Sankranti on Saturday, January 10th 2015, at 4 PM at the Federation’s office located in Ankur Plaza, 113 G.N. Chetty Road, Chennai-600017. The contests will revolve around two distinct themes: “Sankranti” designated for female participants and “Role of Men in Sankranti Celebrations” intended for male participants, with each speaker allotted a maximum of 3 minutes for their presentation. Participation is encouraged among members and individuals from affiliated organizations The event will be presided over by Dr. V.L. Indira Dutt, the President of the Federation.

Ugadi & Womens Day Celebrations

The Women’s Wing of the World Telugu Federation cordially invites you to participate in the Sri Manmadha Nama Ugadi and Women’s Day Celebrations scheduled for Friday, March 20, 2015, commencing at 4:30 PM. This event will take place at the PRC Centenary Hall, located on Lodikhan Street in L. Nagar, Chennai-600 017. The program will begin with a welcome address delivered by Smt. Pramila Anand, the President of the Women’s Wing, followed by a presidential address from Dr. V.L. Indira Dutt, the President of the World Telugu Federation. The Chief Guest for the occasion will be Dr. Geetha Haripriya, the Chairman of Prasanth Multi Speciality Hospitals. The event will also honor Smt. T. Rukmini Devi, the former Public Relations Officer of JOB, Chennai, along with Ms. Suraiya, a renowned Fitness Expert. Sri Kasinadha Sastri will conduct the Panchanga Sravanam, and Smt. Surekha Mohan Das, the Secretary of the Women’s Wing, will deliver the vote of thanks. The celebrations will conclude with a high tea session at 6:30 PM.
