The World Telugu Federation jointly with Gandhinagar Ladies Club celebrated Telugu New Year 2024
With a festive event that started with Panchanga sravanam. As a part of event fair organized by women entrepreneurs featured a diverse array of stalls showcasing products and services from various women-led businesses, celebrating both the Ugadi and the achievements of female entrepreneurs in the Telugu community.
Telugu Classes 2024
The World Telugu Federation recently organized free Telugu classes
Skillfully coordinated by Dr. A.V. Sivakumari from every saturday from 1st June,2024 onwards for 3 months. These classes were a valuable opportunity for individuals interested in learning the Telugu language, aiming to promote the language and culture globally.
Womens Day Celebrations
World Telugu Federation Women’s Day Celebrations are conducted on 16th March,2024.
Renowned artist Sri Sai Krishna Yachendra performed Sangeetha Geyadhara Program which was conducted by Dr. Lalitha, Dr. T Mohanasri, Smt.Kamalakara Rajeswari, Smt. Lavanya Gadhe, Smt. Gopika Poornima and Smt. C Sobharaja. Dr. V L Indira Dutt, President, World Telugu Federation felicitated Guest of Honor Smt. C Sobharaja, Director of Ikas Technologies Pvt. Ltd. , Sri Sai Krishna Yachendra and other artists.

Dr. P. Rammohan Rao, former Chief Secretary of the state, praised the efforts of the World Telugu Federation for its commendable services in fostering interest in the Telugu language and culture among non-Telugu speakers. Speaking at an event held at the federation’s office on G.N. Chetty Road in T. Nagar on the 5th of October, 2024 evening, where certificates were distributed to 65 participants who had completed Telugu language (Spoken and Written) training, he lauded their initiative. The event, which began with a prayer song by singer Smt. Aruna Srinath, was welcomed by Vice President Smt. V. Kavitha Dutt. She shared that the federation has been successfully conducting free Telugu language classes for the past 30 years since its inception, benefiting over 7,000 non-Telugu speakers in learning the language. Chief guest Dr. P.Rammohan Rao appreciated the World Telugu Federation’s efforts in sparking interest in the Telugu language among non-Telugu speakers. Federation honoured the Chief guest along with the teachers, Sri Mohan and Smt. Manikyamma, who conducted the training sessions. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Secretary General K. Srilakshmi Mohan Rao. The event was attended by many members of the federation.

The World Telugu Federation (WTF) inaugurated 6 month (Nov 2024- May 2025) Telugu language training classes on November 2nd 2024, with over 130 participants ranging from children to senior citizens enrolling to learn both spoken and written Telugu. The classes, which will be held every Saturday, were launched with the support of WTF President Dr. V.L.Indira Dutt and will be taught by instructors Sri Mohan and Smt. Manikyam. In her address, WTF Secretary General Smt. Sri Lakshmi Mohan Rao highlighted the growing interest in the classes and the Federation’s commitment to promoting the language. Dr. M.V. Narayana Gupta, WTF’s Executive Member, praised the Federation for offering free classes and celebrated the richness and cultural significance of Telugu. He also paid tribute to Amarajeevi Potti Sriramulu, honoring his sacrifice for the creation of Andhra Pradesh and the dignity of Telugu people. The event was attended by other notable members of the Federation, including Dr. Shivakumari (Program Coordinator), Surekha Mohandas, T. Rukmini Devi, Goteti Venkateshwara Rao, Gummadi Vijayashree, and Madala Venkata Subbarao.
