Telugu Heritage
History Recreated: Celebrating the Rich Traditions and Cultural Legacy
Preserving a Timeless Legacy
Our Vision
Established with a vision to recreate and preserve Telugu history, the museum aims to pass on the grandeur of our cultural heritage to future generations. This initiative, in collaboration with the Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) and driven by the relentless efforts of President Dr. V.L. Indira Dutt, was realized through the support of the Andhra Pradesh government. The museum offers a deep dive into the glorious past of Telugu culture through a captivating blend of murals, sculptures, paintings, and immersive sound and light displays.
The World Telugu Federation (WTF) approached in 2005 for a joint venture with VUDA to establish a Telugu Heritage Museum at Visakhapatnam, with the objectives of promoting Telugu language, literature, and education among people of Telugu speaking origin in India and abroad, to create infrastructure for learning and improving the knowledge in Telugu.
