INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY CELEBRATION

World Telugu Federation International Women’s Day Celebrations are Conducted on 15th March, 2025.

The International Women’s Day celebrations were held on March 15, 2025, Saturday at 4 PM at Hotel “The Savera” in Alwarpet. The event was presided over by Dr. V.L. Indira Dutt, President of the World Telugu Federation and Smt. K. Srilakshmi Mohan Rao, Secretary General. The Chief Guest for the event, Smt. Davuluri Komali Krishna, the Commissioner of Income Tax Department in Chennai, graced the occasion and inaugurated the Women’s Day celebrations. She appreciated the services rendered by the World Telugu Federation for the development of the Telugu language. Smt. Janani Sanjeevani, a renowned singer mesmerized the audience with her musical performance. As part of the celebrations, Mrs. Talluri Rukmini Devi, the Joint Treasurer of the World Telugu Federation, who had excelled in sports, was felicitated with a memento. Bharata Nava Narimanulu program features Character Portrays of nine distinguished first women of India under the guidance of Smt. Uppuluri Vijayalakshmi.The event was organized by Smt. Pramila Anand and Smt. Surekha MohanDas.

Ugadi Celebrations 2025

The World Telugu Federation celebrated Ugadi 2025 (Vishwavasu Nama Samvatsaram) on March 29, 2025, with grandeur in Gandhi Nagar Ladies Club, Adyar. The event began with the Panchanga Sravanam by Sri Phanindra Sharma and a prayer song by Kum. Kaivalya. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. V.L. Indira Dutt, President of the federation, who extended Ugadi greetings to all. A key highlight was the presentation of the Ugadi Puraskaram to Smt. T. Rukmini Devi, Secretary of the Chennai Masters Athletic Association and Joint Treasurer of the World Telugu Federation. She was honoured for her achievements in sports, including a gold in pole vault, silver in hammer throw, and bronze in high jump at the 45th Masters Athletic Championship in Bangalore. A commendation letter written by Smt. T. Lalitha Sudhakar was read by Sri Goteti Venkateswar Rao, and then presented it to Smt. Rukmini Devi. Smt. Devi Krishna, daughter of actress Rajasulochana and director C.S. Rao, was also honoured. She paid a special visual tribute to her father, marking his Centenary Celebration. Smt. Aruna Srinath singing was cherished for its soulful expression and classical elegance. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Smt. K. Srilakshmi Mohan Rao, Secretary General, acknowledging the support of Dr. V.L. Indira Dutt, all guests, performers, and organizers. Special thanks were given to the event coordinators Smt. P. Girija Reddy , Smt. Tatinenni Jayashree, Smt. T. Lalitha Sudhakar, Sri Goteti Venkateswar Rao, Smt. Indira Kumari Srinagesh, Smt. A. Rajyalakshmi Rao. Many prominent members of the association attended this event.
