Insights Of 10th Biennial Conference

The 10th Biennial International Conference in 2013 took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on the 12th and 13th of April. The inaugural day commenced with the recitation of the Malaysian and Indian national anthems, followed by a prayer song dedicated to Maa Telugu Talli and a welcome dance that beautifully blended Malaysian and Telugu cultural elements. Esteemed guests delivered speeches, including Hon’ble Sri Ganta Srinivasa Rao, the Andhra Pradesh State Minister for Infrastructure and Investments, and Hon’ble Sri Vijay Gokhale, the High Commissioner of India to Malaysia. The chief guest, H.E. Dr. K. Roshaiah, the Honorable Governor of Tamil Nadu, addressed the audience and unveiled a commemorative souvenir. The inauguration was marked by a speech from Hon’ble Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib, Tun Haji Abdul Razak, the Prime Minister of Malaysia. The event also recognized several distinguished individuals, including Dr. Dasari Narayana Rao, a prominent film producer and director, Dr. V.L. Indira Dutt, CMD of The KCP Limited and Honorary Consul General of Turkey, Padmasri Dr. Y. Lakshmi Prasad, Chairman of the A.P. Hindi Academy, and Sri L. Madusudhan Rao, Executive Chairman of the LANCO Group, among others. The second day featured a presentation by Smt. A. Manjulatha, the former Vice Chancellor of Potti Sree Ramulu Telugu University, who discussed the origins and development of the Telugu language. Sri D.V. Sriramulu, a trustee of the Telugu Association of Malaysia, shared insights into the history of Malaysian Telugu people, while Sri Medasani Mohan emphasized the significance of Telugu culture. Dr. Y. Lakshmi Prasad also presented on the Telugu Saamskritika Niketanam. The program was enriched with cultural activities, including captivating music and dance performances, with classical music and dance segments particularly enchanting the audience.
