Insights Of 3rd Biennial Conference
The Third Biennial Conference of the World Telugu Federation took place from December 27 to 29, 1998, at Vignan Bhavan in New Delhi. The inaugural ceremony on the first day was led by Sri H.E. Krisha Kanth, the Vice President of India, with Sri G.M.C. Balayogi, the Speaker of Lok Sabha, presiding over the event. Notable guests included H.E. (Smt.) V.S. Rama Devi, the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Sri Madini Soma Naidu, the Founder President of the Malaysia Telugu Sangham, and Sri Gengu Swamy Naidu, a former President of the Federation. Seminars were conducted on the second day in Halls 4 and 5, while the valedictory function on the final day featured an address by Honorable Sri Nara Chandra Babu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, with Dr. V L Dutt presiding. Additional distinguished guests included Honorable Sri Jayaseelan Naidoo, the South African Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and Broadcasting, H.E. Vijai Kapoor, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Dr. Gujjala Ravindra, the Mayor of Altlandsberg, Germany, and Sri Dukkipati Madhusudana Rao, a prominent figure in the Telugu film industry. Cultural events commenced on December 27, 1998, inaugurated by Sri P.V. Narasimham, Chairman and Managing Director of IFCI, with further cultural activities taking place on December 28, 1998, at the Siri Fort Auditorium.
