Insights Of 4th Biennial Conference

The 4th Biennial Conference took place from December 27 to December 29, 2000, in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, under the esteemed leadership of Sri D.V.S. Raju, the President of the World Telugu Federation. This three-day event featured a series of conferences, award ceremonies, and cultural performances, creating a vibrant atmosphere for attendees. On the first day, the Chief Guest, Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the Honorable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, inaugurated the proceedings, which were further graced by notable dignitaries including Sri Devender Gowd, the Honorable Home Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Sri G.M.C. Balayogi, the Honorable Speaker of the Lok Sabha, and several other prominent figures such as Sri V.L. Dutt, Sri C.H. Ramoji Rao, and Sri T. R. Prasad, I.A.S. Additionally, esteemed individuals like Sri M. Narasimhan, former Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, freedom fighter Sri Vavilala Gopala Krishnaiah, and various distinguished doctors and artists were honored with the Telugu Thalli awards. The subsequent days were dedicated to seminar sessions, paper presentations, and panel discussions focusing on critical themes such as the empowerment of women, the potential of youth in the new millennium, trade and industry, as well as art and culture, complemented by engaging performances from renowned artists and participation from actors and actresses of the Telugu film industry, making the event a grand celebration of Telugu heritage and progress.
